Mighty Midget 38 Special

My Dad was in charge of the arsenal at the local PD in the late 1960's during periods of civil disturbance. He had all the training on special stuff and got to use it.
The Pepper Fogger will clear out block after block of urban area; just crank it up, sling it over your shoulder, and walk with the wind blowing it in the direction you desire.
You'll notice two filling caps on the top of the machine. One was for the liquid gas agent, either CN or CS. It came in concentrated form in a can and you poured it into the reservoir.
Try to avoid getting CS liquid on your hands, that stuff stays on for days!

Hello! I currently work for one of the largest hazardous waste disposal companies in the country. A few of our customers are in possession of these old S&W riot control agents. I've had no luck with obtaining any information related to these old tear gas devices. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the pics of the Crowd Control Equipment catalog! Is there any possibly that you would share a complete copy with me? It would help me immensly in identifying these agents. Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Fleth, check your railroad yellow ID (large or small) book for CNS & CN teargas for instructions on the handling & disposal of this and for that matter any other chemical......... if in doubt as usual call Chem tech...........

I'm retired now.. but I worked my way up from field tech/HazMat/Asbestos/lead to running 1/3 of a EPA Superfund job........ if you're handling much of it, keep magenta and black combo filters for your PAPR respirators.......... streams of potable water used to flush both CN &CNS from eyes & mucous membranes........HEPA vacs used to clean up dry residue...........
