mini 14 ?

I have a mini 14 I use for coyote hunting ,love the gun except for 1 factor. it is very hard to take the safety off with out a load snap noise. Does anyone know how to make it quieter?

If you reload, and have some of that silver colored “moly” stuff that was used to coat bullets years back, rub some on the corresponding parts.

This is how I do it with my left hand, I am right handed. If done this way I can do it with no noise, just harder to do when its night and below zero as I need to remove my gloves so I can feel whats going on. some times one doesn't have the time to do it.
My hunting buddy who shoots many coyotes but usually misses the first shot says to just let it make the noise so you can shoot them on the run like he does. LOL he says that's why he misses the first shot.
