How's that .308 barrel work out in a sea of .311 ammunition? What's it do that an AK doesn't?

Well, it gets sold in states where you can't have an AK or pistol grip autoloader.

Finally got someone's attention. Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. You're limited to the .308 loaded US made Winchester and Remington 7.62x39. Fun little detail about these. If it's accuracy you seek you're excluded from a large pool of ammunition.

BARREL STRUTS & FIELD STRIPPING???

Been hearing for years how a barrel strut helps accuracy. Do they slow down the field stripping?

The very early ones were .308 but got changed to .311. The info is out there on Google. I found out mine was one of the early .311s.
