Has anyone tested lower velocity ammo to see how low in the FPS range that the 15-22 can cycle ammo. I shoot a lot of short range 25-50 yard and I'm wondering if 1000fps is the border line, if not what is ?

If you do a search for cci quiet. Youll find your answer.
Some people have modded their rifles so that 700ish fps ammo cycles. However some still have issues. Im sure you know this already but I has to do with the bolt having enough force to cycle and reset the hammer.
Imo, quiets are for bolt action only.
Subsonics and SV are cheapervand gave far fewer issues.

1000 fps, standard velocity ammo, no problem. 710 quiets are the problem child which I'm trying to find a bolt spring combo that might work. so far no luck though, I can get it to eject but not fully load the next round on cci quiet 710fps...

I've chrono'd rounds leaving my 15-22 at around 850 fps without any issue in cycling.

That was out of a 10" barrel, ported and suppressed. I don't know how much additional back pressure the suppressor added (I suppose I could shoot without the suppressor and chrono it).

The suppressor adds alot. Thats one of the reasons why your rifle gets dirty quicker.
My guess your fte/ftf rate would incress ten fold without the suppressor.
Otherwise more people would be shooting super subsonic ammo.

For a normal suppressor attached to the barrel, that's true. In this case, it's an integral.. I just dont know how much back pressure is added in that case

A pic of your integral suppressed 15-22 would be awesome please.
I also have a 10" barrel. Apon reviews for barrels around 5". They had trouble with reliability. So 10" worked.
I had an 8" 10/22 barrel and was shocked at the precieved noise difference between 2".

Sure. It's from Innovative Arms, so it's probably not TOO useful to you across the pond... :)

First pic shows how long the suppressor is relative to the "barrel". The second shows the end closest to the barrel's muzzle - I don't know if the barrel fits inside it or not... The third shows the suppressor partially installed.

Both CCI SV and Norma Tac-22 are listed at 1070fps, and both cycle my 15-22, 15-22P, M&P 22c and P22 reliably, no problem.

These, by the way, are subsonic rounds, if that's what you're going for...

Looking for what cycles above the 710 quiets but below SV CCI. So far it seems the AE 45gr @ 970 stated by Newhouse. Trying to see what the lower limit of velocity is for reliable feeding ?

There aren't a whole lot of options for ammo between the AE 45 grain and CCI quiet. There is the Aguila SSS Sniper (60grain) that is rated at 950fps.

When I get a chance (may be a while), I can chrono some subsonic out of my 10" without the suppressor. Still not a 100% apples to apples comparison to the 16", but if the subsonics cycle out of a ported 10" barrel, I would think that would be the 'slowest' you'll find that cycle. The numbers I gave earlier (850-900fps) were using HV ammo (CCI Blazer) out of the 10" ported barrel with suppressor...

Those Aguila SSS are shorts with whole lot of lead on top.
