Rather glad I didn't...have rarely seen so many 'no guns' signs. They are everywhere...even at US Bank Stadium (Vikings field) where I went on a tour. Even magnetometers there.
That said, Minneapolis is kinda cool. Cigar friendly at every bar with a outdoor space I visited. Not just a smoking area; the whole patio at Glueck's and the entire, BIG, rooftop at Cowboy Jack's. Other joints, too; no recall of their names. Imagine that?!?!?
Terrific light rail system...truly. Nice people everywhere. Easy transit to just about anywhere I wanted to go but still 3+ miles/days afoot.
Target Field is a top 10 MLB park in our collective opinions. (Was our annual ballpark trip with some knucklehead pals.)
Only bad part? United Scarelines made me eleven (11!) hours late getting there...mechanical issues on first flight pre- its arrival in Pittsburgh. $20. meal voucher did not make up for my time...even though it saved me lotsa money because by the time I got to Minneapolis everybody except me was sound asleep...and I do mean everybody but the train driver.
