Anyone have experience with them? They were made out of Washington somewhere. Lightning Arms has some on closeout and was thinking about picking up one for my 1911. I have a Desantis Speed Scabbard for my 442 and like it a lot, but the 1911 version comes with 3 slots and it seems to be a whole lot of leather for belt wear. I'm just hoping to find something fairly inexpensive, but functional, until I can get back to Rosen's shop to look at his stuff up close.

Saw a unique holster at a Matt Eastman gunshow in Norcross, GA today. The guys business card says Minuteman Security. I wish I would have bought it, but he had them priced at $100 and I'd had already spent too much at the show. But dang nice inside the waistband holster, different than any on the market. The holster has a clip, but the holster itself is longer and hangs below the waistline of the pants. What's cool is since the holster hangs lower, it doesn't require you to wear a larger size pants to fit. And you can sit with no discomfort. Fit my full size S&W 1911 with no printing. The guys name is Kelly and the phone number on his card is 706-270-1942. I'll probably call him and see how to order one. He doesn't seem to have a website. Hope this helps.

Minute Man holster were out of the NW years ago....From what I was told the original qwner had been a partner with on of the big name holster makers...This was years ago..I heard his daughter was trying to keep it running after his death...I heard years ago it was up for sale...never heard much after that.....We had some minuteman holsters that were very well molded even to the point of being tight..finish wasn't as great as some but darned good holsters none the less,,,I just prsumed they had went out of business, but to be truthfull that was just a guess. I think the daughters name was Yolanda?????? Old memory........i thougt it was Portland Oregon or Seattle Washington ????? I had heard she had tried to sell the company, that was years ago and memory could be wrong...

Got a e-mail from them yesterday...Yolanda did sell out some years back...Lighting Arms has some in spacific models....Check them out...My memory isn't quite as bad as I thought...Sometimes !!!

Re: Minuteman Holsters available in Tacoma

Tacoma Leather Works is now the company in Tacoma producing Minuteman Holsters. Mary's Pistols in Tacoma is selling the holsters.

I had a couple of them in the 90's for my Sig P228 & P220 duty weapons. The holsters were a middle of the road in quality and did a pretty good job in conceal carry mode. I think I paid under $35.00 for each holster and sold them and moved on to something else. I remember buying them at the Rose City Gun Show in Portland (left coast).
