As a certified grips geek, I spotted these on the 'bay the other day and instantly recognized what they are:
I'm pretty sure they're original. The grips are cast of quality material with good clean lines, no voids or any of the other shortcomings repro grips from outfits like Vintage Gun Grips possess. The machined clearance for the extended slide stop is well done. Here are some photos of some Mk 22 Mod 0 pistols showing their grips:
Question: does anyone know if the grips for these pistols were manufactured by S&W? I imagine it would have been a very short run on them, as no other factory pistol wore such grips. If not made by S&W, from where were they sourced?
