Mmmmm burger

The last three times I have had a burger at Hardees (and it is definitely the LAST three times I will have a burger at Hardees) they have burned it to a crisp. I don't like over-cooked meat. But I accept that a lot of restaurants cook it too much, because of "tainted meat" scares. McDonalds, for example, cooks theirs well-done. But it still has some flavor. These three Hardees pieces of garbage were like eating cardboard.

Shame. Back when I was in high school, and it was "Hurry on down to Hardees, where the burgers are charcoal broiled", they had good food. But that's been 40 years, and they don't any more.

No, but a Philly cheasesteak would go good. Not the **** you get outside of Philadelphia either.

I hardly ever eat fast food (just when travelling). Then I only like Wendys and Subway.
 
Those things will kill you dude. Any idea what you are shoving down your throat? That thing is a bypass waiting to happen.
 
I shouldn't have mentioned bacon burgers.

About 4 onion rings, pickles and ketcup on a toasted sesame roll.

I'm beginning to tear up.

Nothing wrong with the Hardees in my home town. Must be them panhandle illegals just don't know how to cook. ;):D

Just got back from Arctic Roadrunner here in Anchorage. Had a Kenai 1/2lb burger with hot pickles, chilis, cheddar cheese, onions, and a little catsup and mustard. $7!! That's a bunch of burger for that money here.
 
i like em home made with onion soup mix blended in with the meat.

1/2 pounders on the grill, then add sliced raw onion and yellow mustard.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. its time to EAT!!!
 
At home, Ground Chuck only, must have a little fat for flavor and heart attacks. Imagine your obituary "He died eating a bacon burger":D:D:D

For years we would go to the A&W (two blocks away from our home) which was almost right next door to Hardee's, because the food was fresh and always worth the wait -- Hardee's was usually a disappointment. Then the A&W closed -- bummer! Shortly afterwards, Hardee's changed their menu to the present one and began serving great food! Hmmm. . . do I want an Original Thickburger with fries or a Six Dollar burger without fries (too big to have both!)???

Then Hardee's changed to Arbee's -- no more Thickburgers. Now I drive to the next town over for A&W again, or plan to be in Hibbing or Walker at lunchtime for another Hardee's Thickburger.

Back in 92 I was in Virginia, and Hardees had just bought Roy Rogers. They sold Roy Rogers fried chicken and they had "cheese biscuits". Little pieces of cheese were mixed in with the biscuit dough, so there were little hunks of cheddar all through the bread. Good eats. Heck with the burgers and the chicken, just order biscuits.

So I'm comin' back home here to Florida and stop off at a Hardees in North Carolina and order a half dozen cheese biscuits. I take the sack, get back in my truck and head on down the road. Open one up and it's a biscuit that's been split and has a slice of sammich cheese in it. Cheese sammich on a biscuit. Apparently they did not know what a cheese biscuit was, at the Hardees in North Carolina. Didn't stop 'em from throwing something together and charging me, though.

There is a hardees restaurant in my town and i saw a big sign featuring there new

memphis thickburger. Within a few seconds after seeing that sign i wanted one.

but i still have not had it yet.

Tommy's cheeseburger from SoCal!

Patty, chili, cheese, tomato, onions, mustard==less than 2 bucks when I was in SoCal.

Best chili cheese fries!

Can't get White Castle in Houston. I buy a box in the freezer section and nuke'em. I loved Steak n Shake when I would visit relatives in Missouri. Are they still around? I loved the bacon cheeseburger with fries and an orange freeze. I just ate and I'm hungry again after this thread.
 
Review of hardees memphis bbq thickburger

Dear S&W, Forum tonight i ate for supper a hardees memphis bbq thickburger and to be honest i thoroughly enjoyed it!
it was sinfully delicious and i plan to eat another one as soon as possible sincerely and respectfully mg357 a proud member of the S&W Forum.
 
Let's see what my options are here in the Seattle area...

Hardee's? Nope.
In 'n' Out? Nope.
White Castle? Nope.
Steak 'n' Shake? Nope.
A&W? It's inside the KFC, tried it once, burger tasted like chicken and the root beer wasn't draft, so, nope.

But you guys don't have Kidd Valley. Or Dick's. YUM!

And if you're ever in Couer d'Alene, Idaho, go to Hudson's across the street from the resort. Fresh ground beef, made into a patty right in front of your eyes. And pie. Mmmmm, pie...
 
Tomorrow my daughter and I are going to 12 Bones Bar B Que rated the best in the Southeast.

This is where Barack Obama goes when he comes to town.

But we have (or had) XXX Burger in Issaquah. Only place in the nation to serve root beer made by Pepsi.
