Condition, condition .... These are so common that this is really the deciding factor.

It's a bit high for a police surplus 10-7 that has seen normal patrol use, but if it is in very good shape, not out of the ballpark.

For input that's worth anything, you'd need to provide some photos.

PS: Your serial has one digit too many. Omitting one x, D 2292xx would be about 1970. But that should then be a 10-5, not a -7.

LEO trade-ins such as that are very common. Count me in the "too high" club.

After seeing the pictures, I agree with the others. I'd want even a below-300 shooter to at least be all-original. The holster is worthless. And this model is indeed so common that you can afford to be a bit picky.

Agreed. At $400 I think the gun is overpriced. Look around a bit and you'll find a nicer one for that kind of money.

I'll join the chorus of the overpriced. Looks like a $250 revolver to me.
If I were you I would keep looking. For $400 I think you should be able
to get the correct stocks, and personally I would look for the heavy barrel.
My 10-5 2" shown on the left, and my 10-6 4" heavy barrel on the right.

Definitely high. There are at least two GB listings for that same package for $319. They have been there for quite a while with no bids.
