mod. 14 no dash

Asking for a little info please , mod 14 no dash , ser. # K 363833 , were these shipped with large target grips ? These have no medalions on them , gun looks to be very pristine . yr and date of manufacture , any info on grips & blueing finish would be helpful , Thanks Greg

According to SCSW the serial number dates to 1959, and it sounds like the grips are aftermarket. The gun could have shipped with either target or magna grips, but both would have had medallions. If you could post pictures it might help us to provide more information.

Greg, see a thread I started on one of mine on Oct. 15, 2011 labeled Pre Model 14. (Don't know how to drag it here to post). I have a mid fifties that has unrelieved smooth grips. Several of the gurus of grips and guns chimed in on this subject. Hope it helps. Has pics of a coupla guns too.

In 2011, I bought what appeared to be a minty pre M14 shipped 1-9-1957, # K 272318, no XXX's. Had 3 "T"s and the grips were the unrelieved diamond center targets. Everyone told me the stocks were incorrect, so I lettered the gun. Weird, it was shipped with target hammer, target trigger, and magna grips. I bought that particular revolver as I was sure it was shipped with 3 "T"s. I guess you never know. Paid too much for it too. Big Larry
