could anyone help me with production numbers for a 29 4 screw 4 inch nickel finish serial number s2001xx

4 " Nickel 44 Mags always seemed to ship later than other barrel lengths and blue finished. Only a letter will tell for certain but I'd hazzard to guess probably in the 1959-1960 range. I have a 5 " nickel S207 something or other that shipped July, 1959. I'd get a letter on it regardless as 4" Nickel 44 Magnums are few and far between these days.

Most 44 Magnums I have seen in the S200000 range shipped in 1960. Revolvers finished in nickel usually comprised 10-15 percent of the total production so a 4-screw 44 Magnum finished in nickel would be scarce, but not rare. I would take the advice of 29-1 and obtain a factory letter on the gun.
