a friend of mine picked up a mod.29 silhouette (10-5/8 bbl.),just the gun no instruction manual. so can anyone tell me how is the front sight suppose to work, I understand that you turn the wheel to adjust the sight for fixed distances but is there a certain load or sight range you have to use to achieve this? do you sight in at say 50yds. and every dedent of the wheel moves impact up an x amount of yds. and do you have to use a special bullet weight and velocity to achieve this?

You adjust the front sight for 25 yards #1 setting the next adjust the front for 50 yards and and next do it for 75 yards and the last setting for 100 yards this way when its adjusted you will have the same sight picture for all 4 ranges. Jeff

Thank you for the info. I would really like toget a copy of the owners manual if anyone has it.

Thank you that is what I was looking for
