Heard of a 39 ser # A475263 How do I tell what frame magnet ? Supposed to be in fair cond price help please . They are asking 325.00 Thanks in advance OldSeabee

SN indicates 1978 period. Depends on what "fair condition" means. "what frame magnet" -not sure what you mean but not steel frame. In 85% range $325 about average.

Did not know if the alloy was magnetic . Initials scratched in right of frame , mech ok I haven't seen weapon. And is alloy frame ok ?Thanks

My A prefix Model 39-2 is 1976 (bought new).
$325 is low for my area but the initials scratched in the frame if visible detracts from the condition so may be a fair price. Personally, I'd try to leverage that into an even better deal. The alloy frames last fine but I don't know of any good way to refinish wear or damage.
Many think Model 39s are the most comfortable grip of any 9mm.

I would pass unless it is a 39-2. The alloy frame will hold up fine.
