Mod. 422 ammo

Is a good quality, high velocity ammo, such as CCI in 22 lr, ok to use in my SW mod. 422? I purchased the firearm in 1996 and it's in good shape. My concern was possible excessive pressure in high velocity ammo - if there is such a concern.
I sure don't want to cause any issues with it so I thought I'd ask first....thanks for any help.

Welcome to the forum. I have put 1000's of rounds of CCI mini-mags down the pipe of my 2206 with nary a problem. Even though the 422 is alloy and steel compared to the all stainless steel construction of the 2206, function should be the same.
