can anyone give me a ballpark value for a very nice 95% or better model 49? no box, papers. not sure of mfg. date yet... think i might need this...

I paid 350 in Jun of this year in a FTF individual transaction for a similiarly conditioned 49 with pinned barrel.

The nice old 49's from the 60's and 70's in 95% condition bring around $400 - $425 in my neck of the woods.

49's are a little harder to come by in my area and seem to bring a small premium over the model 36. I would gladly pay $400 for a 95% specimen.

seems that the 49 i'm looking at is a lot... lot, high. he wants 550. guess i'll offer him a lot less,(450) and pass if he balks. thanks all.

I purchased a 98% M649 a few months ago for $399.00. I also purchased a 95% M49 pinned barrel about three years ago for $300.00. Both in Washington State. The deals are out there, offer a lot less and keep looking.
