Mod 60 hammer question?

Did the early model 60s ever come with a factory bobbed hammer? I am considering making an offer on a trade on another forum and want to know if this a factory option. The gun is a 60 no dash, excellent finish, with box and papers for $675. Sounds high to me, especially if the bobbed hammer is aftermarket.

I have a no dash from 1970 serial# R26XXX & no bobbed hammer. To my knowledge they did not come from the factory bobbed.

To the best of knowledge, that is not a factory option. I had my gunsmith bob my model 60 several years ago. Great for pocket carry.

Ditto - I was trying to confirm if the hammer was aftermarket so I could get the price lower.

Best I can do is verify that there are some factory bobs out there... I have a 60-3 that SCSW says is factory DAO with bobbed hammer.

For what it’s worth, I have a Model 60 no dash with a standard hammer that I paid $475 for 3 years ago. Even with the recent prices, I would say that price is way to high, especially with a mutilated hammer.
