Recently came across a s&w 60-2 ny-1 on gunbroker. I knew what it was when I seen it but it was at a pawn shop who thought it was a regular 60. Had a buy it now 599.99 or make an offer so I offered 400 which was declined but 425 got it. Wondering what they are really worth with no box. Gun is in like new shape. Has ny-1 stamp along with the silhoutte stamp, r stamp assuming meant returned, wider sight system like the dash 60-7, and beveled front cylinder flutes. Serial number falls under the guns that were returned back to s&w according to a list I seen on here and has the spur on the hammer instead of dao. Had a set of altamont combat grips but I've replaced them with factory stocks. I've been pocket carrying this some but wondering if I should just put it up. Also bought a 638-1 Elliot brothers bodyguard as well no box wondering value on it and how many were made. Out of all the 60s made seems like this one is one of the hardest to find along with my 60-1 Ashland. I should probably just put the 60-2 and 638-1 up and carry my 649-2 is what I'm thinking. Curious on info and thoughts

Can't help with value, but certainly more than what you paid. Reasonable care with carry and use won't hurt it. Shoot carry and enjoy. Even in the unlikely event you put excessive wear on it, you are still going to easily get your money back down the road.
My longstanding joke is I don't own any guns but have a lot of long term rentals.
