Can any one help me find the date of production for my Mod. 60 (no dash), serial# is R37823. What would you say this is worth? Could this have been used in Viet Nam?

Thanks

As far as it's value, hard to say. It depends on matching numbers, condition, box and contents, etc. You can usually find nice 95-98% 60s, no box, for $400-450. Sometimes a bit less. I bought one that was unfired, no box, for $450 and love it!

:) I know where there is a model 60-0 that is NIB
with tools and paper work for $525 plus tax and tax is
9 3/4%. That seems to high. It's been sitting there
for 3 months. Don

Wow! I paid $300 Cad and it's in good shape. I was just told due to the early serial number it's probably a 1970 production. I wonder if it saw any action or carry in Vietnam?

Thanks for your help fellas.

What would have been the standard grip used on this revolver during Vietnam? Would it have been the original S&W wooden grips?
