Mod. 627 2 5/8" speed loader/leather?

Just bought a new 627 snubbie.

Looking at the Speed Beez® loader and wonder what you use for your 8-shot 627.

Also curious about your choice of leather. I'm thinking Simply Rugged.

I bought Speed Beez speed loaders for my 2 5/8" 627. I found that unless they're lined up perfectly, they catch on the cylinder release. Might have been just me, but I couldn't figure a way to correctly line them up rapidly & consistently. Moonclips are much faster, but would be harder to carry without a pretty sturdy pouch. I don't carry my 627, so no don't have any holster suggestions. Good luck!

I hadn't seen the comment you made about alignment.

I'd like to hear from someone who's experienced the Star product.

I've hauled around a 640-Pro with moon clips for five years. I know them.

627 UDR


One of two that I have. This one is flutted. Use as holster sold through their website made by Galco. 627 UDR revolvers known as "Blood Work" guns. 627, 629 and the rarer 657 of the UDR series. Ultimate Defensive Revolver. Five Star speed loaders work great well made but not cheap.
