Thanks for the warm welcome fellas in the other threads, 'tis nice to be in good company.

First, is there any thought as to upgrading the sights on the Model 67 Combat Masterpiece? I can't complain about the factory set up, but I always like to explore the options. Advice?

Second, is there an actual torque or other such setting that needs to be applied to the tension screw for the hammer? Will a certain trigger pull weight determine if it set properly? When I bought it it seemed rather heavy, I backed it out a bit but it is still heavier than I'd like for a DA pull. I don't remember the old Mod 10 I had being that heavy. Thoughts? Advice?

Thirdly, any options for buying screws for the Mod 67? That same hammer spring screw was a bit chewed when I got it and I think it is *****. S&W revolvers are not supposed to be ugly, I'd like to replace the screw. Is S&W direct my only choice?

Thanks for the help.

1.- There are aftermarket sights that you may try. I put millet on mine, but they are not in sale anymore. Bowen, LPA and other brands carry them.

2.- The screw is supossed to be tight. You can try to substitute the mainspring for one from Wolf: Wolff Gunsprings - Firearm Springs for Semi-Auto Pistols, Revolvers, Rifles, & Shotguns they have a kit with a mainspring and 3 trigger return springs in 15, 14 and 13 lbs.

3.- Try brownells, numrich, midway etc
