I came across a Model 10-7 Chiefs Special, nickel finish, pinned barrel, 2", appears to be wearing the corectangle wood stocks, no box or papers. From the photos it appears to be in very good condition.
What is the going price for this?
Thanks in advance.

I've heard many people call an older gun in good shape a "Chief's gun" due to the lack of wear. This is probably what was meant.

Looks pretty good, I'd want to hold it and confirm that it is original finish and confirm mechanical good condition. Assuming all that looks good, and no box/papers I'd be a buyer at $350. Probably wouldn't go beyond $400. Have paid more for two inch guns but those were pre-10s. Good luck.

Thanks, seller says it factory finish.

Factory nickel-plated 2 inch Model 10-7 Military & Police with a round butt. $400.00 would be top dollar. If it's factory nickel, it will have an "N" stamped on the back of the cylinder and on the frame under the grips. If you get it, put a polished aluminum Tyler T-Grip adapter on it, and you'll have a nice, if heavy, coat pocket gun. It wouldn't be bad in an OWB holster under an untucked shirt, jacket, or coat.

At $350 to $400 that would be snapped up in a blink of an eye in my part of the country. I've seen many priced in the $500 range in that condition especially as a 2". That's a nice gun.

Last 2 10-7s ..... both 2 inch nickle guns (from two different sellers) I saw ( 10 days ago at the NE Ohio Bunch) were both priced at $550.

I've read that only 10% of the guns were nickle and SCS&W puts a $ premium on nickle model 10s and the "marketplace" puts a premium on 2" barrel Model 10s!
