A couple photos and observations of my new Model 10-15 Classic No-Lock (and I'll be adding pics and initial thoughts of my 686MG next week as well):

The bluing is very nice looking, and the walnut grain is growing on me. I like the feel of the small, non-target style square butt grips. The double-action is quite heavy, although I don't have a gauge, and it doesn't feel like there is any stacking. Single action is crisp. The bottom of the forcing cone is flat, so although the cylinder is long enough to be bored out to 357 (I measured it with some 357 Gold Dots in 125 grain and there is plenty of room), I would not want to shoot much magnum ammo through it. The yoke to frame fit is insanely tight, both looking at it from the muzzle-end as well as the side, and the walnut stocks hug the frame as if they were growing out of it (no gap whatsoever, unlike some I've seen photos of). All in all, provided this thing shoots half as good as it looks, I will be very pleased, indeed.

It might end up that way. As I’m getting older I’m starting to realize that semi automatic pistols are boring. I was thinking about selling all 5 of my Glock 17s and my 92FS to then pick up maybe the 19-10 or 10-15
I'm with you 100%. I've sold or given away (to family) my semi-autos. They didn't bring any enjoyment at the range, and no pride of ownership. They were simply tools. Revolvers, on the other hand, are actually fun to shoot.

OP: Great looking Model 10. You will enjoy it. Carried a nickel one as a LEO like the 10-3 (1979) I now have. Too bad S&W doesn’t make nickel anymore. 😊 Give us Model 10 fans a range report after first trip.

Bonjour,
J'ai déjà vu un modèle 10 comme le vôtre, avec la même crosse et le guidon coupé en biais. Savez-vous d'où il vient ?
Merci d'avance pour votre réponse.
I used Google translate, b737lvr, and this is what jml45 asked... 😁 :

"I've seen a Model 10 like yours before, with the same stock and the front sight cut at an angle. Do you know where it came from?
Thanks in advance for your reply."

Model 10 (no dash). Everything you need - no more, no less

The OP’s new revolver looks good to me.
Some may disagree with me on this but I believe the 38 spl M&P and Chief Special are the two most interesting and fulfilling firearms ever produced. The fact that both these models are available new production today should not be taken for granted. It will be a very sad day if either are ever discontinued

I agree. I'm sure some of you are familiar with the Internet Movie Firearms DataBase website (IMFDB), and when you look at their page for the Model 10/ M&P, the list of movies and TV shows it's been used in puts nearly every other weapon to shame (I'm sure the Peacemaker and 1911 give it a run for the money). The M&P for me just kind of embodies the spirit of adventure, excitement, and mystery, after growing up seeing it on the big screen so many times.
