This question is not about the model 10 but what does it shoot! Being a fix sighted gun, does anyone remember what load was used to set up the sights of a model 10. I would like to know the target distance, bullet weight, and bullet speed used to hit POA for the model 10! A second question would be the same info for the model 58!
Thanks in advance for any/all info!

Generally a 158 round nose lead............... .38 special was pretty much the standard police load through the mid-70s and for many into the 80s..... when many went to the FBI load a 158gr SWCHP (my Dad started carrying this load in the early 70s IIRC. he had several FBI buddies)

The dash # might add some info........half moon, and there were 2 versions of ramped front sight IIRC that might make a difference............

From my academy days “the department issues ,38 special 158 gran lead round nose at 870 FPS from a 6”, 825 from a 4” and 755 from a 2” sighted in for 6 o’clock hold at 50 yards “
