Heads up, Classic is advertising 10-6 and 10-8 Model 10 revolvers for $299.

AIM is advertising taper barrel Model 10s for $299.

All are 4" barrel, square butt.

Seems like these are all coming back from Europe. Both companies are advertising in "Good Surplus" condition with wear to finish and grips. Pictures on both sites show plenty of wear.

Anyone know how the import stamps look on these or where there are located ? And what countries or country did they come from ?

Most I've seen right side, frame and/or barrel where they meet.

These seem to be a good deal ? What does everyone else think ? And which might be better to get, a dash 6 or 8 ? Both are the same price.

I thought there would be more interest for these guns on here. AIM has their import stamps on the bottom on the trigger guard I found out. I imagine Classic has theirs there too.

My vote would be a 10-6 simply because I have a police trade in 10-6I bought back when they were bringing $125. Which might also explain the weak interest in M10's at $350+ by the time you pay shipping and transfer.

Classic AIM ???

How about posting a link to these sites so we all can evaluate

Well, I didn't want to miss out on the 10-8's as well so I just placed an order for one.

I just ordered one of the tapered barrels from AIM. I love those half halfmoon/half ramp front sights. Hopefully the finish i decent and the mechanics are as good as they say. No choice of hand select.

A guy on another forum bought one, I think a heavy barrel. He posted pictures of it, and commented on the condition. All the bore/chambers and trigger worked well....but it had been carried for many years and was in rough shape on the exterior and the stocks were very worn...most of the checking was gone, and on his, the right side stock was worn so much it didn't look like the other side, he said. It was misshapen.

Worth it? He thought so, but I have to wonder what is next. You can leave it like it is, as a range gun or I don't-give-a-damn carry gun, which is fine, but I don't see it as a $300 revolver. Truck gun?

I have no idea what a Model 10 used sells for now, but I'm pretty sure you couldn't restore one for what you'd have to pay for a good used one...but I don't know.

He wondered where the gun came from, but according to him, the importer said "a large European city." Couldn't see in his photos any proof marks.

Hey folks, just joined this forum to share pictures of the 10-8 from Classic that I picked up today.

One of the rear attachments of the medallion the grip panels got stuck between the frame and spring. Trigger was nice after the fix. Probably get a Tyler grip to keep this current grips on it.

I was at the LGS today, picking up a Marlin 1895GBL, and another guy was picking up a 10-8 from Classic. He let me look at it. Bluing was a tad better than what tinythief posted above, but the grips had more wear. Didn't look too bad for $300.
