Model 10 sight accuracy?

I shot my 3" model 10-5 last week with 110 grain wadcutters, and it shot CRAZY low. Put in a cylinder full of 158 grain lead HPs, and it sorted itself out.

The Model 10 is the workhorse of the K frame stable, if you will.

They love 148-158 gr loads. And hit POA at 25 yards consistantly.

1. You can never, ever buy a more dependable medimum frame
wheelgun than one of these.

2. The Model 10 and the earlier M&P's have defended more
police officers, military personnel and citizens than probably
any other weapon in the last 100 years.

3. You'll never be sorry you bought one.

:D

lol...

That's what I get for just rolling with Firefox's spelling correct without really looking at it.

I was thinking too much about people bashing around fixed sight guns... Babbit, wabbit, whammy stick, whatever... ;)

I am still twitch...twitching from the thought. Guess this goes along with the guys who look down the bores of rifles and then bends them straight?:D

I have two Model 10s. One POA with 158, one not (but POA and very accurate with Federal's 125gr JSP +P load). Three Model 12s. I think the 4" was OK, and the 2" ones are OK, also, but not super accurate in my hands. I have owned way over a dozen J-frame fixed-sight .38s, and several were off horizontally. All but my 342PD were OK vertically with 158s. The 342PD shoots way low with ANYTHING. I have to hold about half of the sight above the notch, even with 158s, moreso with lighter bullets.
