I have an old S&W model 1000P pump shotgun that was my go-to duck gun for many years.

They were made in Japan, and the barrel steel was OK to use with steel shot.

I've put hundreds of steel shot rounds through my 1000 I bought in 83. And easily 5 times that in lead shot. My 1000 just keeps going.
