Model 12-2 question

I have recently acquired a Model 12-2 Airweight. The serial # is 2D728XX. As near as I can tell, it was made between 1962 and 1976...potentially 1968. Can anyone help me determine the exact year of manufacture? Thanks in advance

Looks like 1977 according to the S&W Catalog.

The Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson, shows serial numbers:

2D00001 through 2D80000 were shipped in 1977.
