:) Got a new to me S&W model 12-2 with grips
that are numbered to the gun, and has a 98% finish.
I would like to see what your model 12 looks like.

Nice guns guys! Which brings up a question in my mind. Why were so many of the 2" M12's made with SB? The only 2" one I ever owned was SB, and I see some of yours are as well. On the M10 2" you see more RB than SB, but the opposite on M12. What do you think?

Hawkeye10, that sure is a nice looking one!

Here's my one and only.... a model 12-1 shipped November 1962:

I agree that Square butt M-12's are more prevalent.
Here is mine,

BTW, when looking at model 12's remember that the frames are a different thickness which meens the grips are also a different thickness.
My recollection is the M12 frame is actually thinner than the M10 to make them even lighter.
The end result is grips do not interchange without major work.
Cheers

Great looking guns. I would love to find a RB M-12

A 1980 12-3, obviously earlier grips. Toroflow1's photograph, but my revolver. Shoots to POA!

I've owned a few along the way. One was a kind of oddball 4" RB. The guns I had were 12-2's or 12-3's. Anyone have a 12-4 that is supposed to have the standard thickness K Frame?
