Greetings from Oklahoma. I'm a new member to this forum but not new to guns. I do love revolvers but am considering parting with a M12 that I've had for a while. I've never seen one for sale at a LGS or show and have no idea what it might be worth. It is really clean and may have only been shot a dozen times prior to it coming home with me. I have put about three hundred rounds through it.

I originally traded a Frankenstein 1911 of mixed parts for the little k frame.

Welcome! Yours looks to be an early (4-screw frame) .38 Airweight in nice condition, with replacement rubber stocks. Is it stamped MOD 12 on the frame under the barrel with the cylinder out?

In my opinion it would be a quick sale in the low $400 range and $500 would be about an average value. Hope this is helpful.

murphydog, it is stamped MOD 12. It didn't even have a ring around the cylinder when I got it. I wouldn't even consider selling it except I have a PC 629 in lay away and I do not carry this little gun. I usually carry a 66 or a Security Six. My wife wasn't thrilled about the 629, she is 7 months pregnant with our second, and I'm not going to argue about it either way:)

That is a gun you will probably not find again, especially in such good condition. I have not seen any for sale here in Kalifornia. I kick myself frequently for selling a Model 12 4" round butt years ago.

Wait until after the baby for a 629?

It's not worth much at all. I'm feeling very generous, though, and will take it off your hands for $250.00, plus your shipping expense. Might be able to use it for a parts gun.

😀It would be a good parts gun. Someone could take it apart and build a revolver from the parts.

Be careful, Deformlux!!! Hawkeye is trying to rip you off, that dishonest cuss! That wheelgun is worth more than $250!!! Heck, I reckon it is worth at least $253, maybe even $254 or $254.50 given the current crazy high prices. Being as I'm a generous fella and that, according to an email I received, I will shortly be coming into a large sum of money that a deposed Nigerian prince needs my help moving into the US, I am willing to offer you $257...yes, $257...for that Saturday Night Special. I realize that may seem like an extravagantly generous offer, but after Hawkeye tried so blatantly to defraud you, I feel like I need to do something to restore your faith in humanity.

PS - I don't mean to scare you but I sure hope it does not blow up in your hand, maiming and disfiguring you, before you get rid of it.

ROFLMAO! You really cracked me up with that one.

That is a very nice looking model 12. Do you know how old it is? Or what the s/n is? The earlier ones (prior to 1984) had a thinner frame than the newer ones by .080" So standard Magnas do not fit. I know because I bought one with Good years an had to alter a set of magnas to make them fit my pre model 12.
I would say around $400 -$500. I assume you don't have the original stocks or box? If you do it would be worth a little more.

You guys really crack me up. The gun does have a defect. When you put a round in it and pull the trigger, the gun ruins the loaded round by pushing the end of the bullet out of the cartridge. The barrel gets warm when this happens. I'm not sure what to do;)
