Model 13 3” value?

Hello,
I saw a nickeled model 13 with a 3” barrel in a pawn shop for 800 and wondered if that was too high? It had a square butt so this might be in wrong forum. It had a tie wrap holding the cylinder closed so I don’t know what version. Barrel was marked 357 magnum. They didn’t mention box or anything.

Sounds high and a 3” 13 should be a round butt.

Anything's possible, but a square on what's usually a round-butt and near-impossibility to examine more closely is a huge red flag IMHO.

Hello Fred, pics and inspection are sometimes difficult.
Eight hundred is a lot of money. Take your time for a logical evaluation.

I'd have to closely inspect a Model 13 square butt that sports a 3 inch barrel before even considering anything close to parting with $800.
