Model 13 dash 3

My sister inlaw has a model 13 dash 3 in like new condition. Her husband bought it new back in the 80s. It has remained in un fired condition. It has a 3 inch Barrel and is nickel platedAny idea of the value? The serial number is AE u96xx Thanks

I'll take a stab. A 3" Model 13-3 is a very desirable gun. Nickel is a plus for me, a minus for others. If it is truly unfired I'd say $800 on the low end, a grand on the high end. If you have the box and papers I'd start at a grand.

Highly desirable revolver these days. Without seeing a bunch of pictures, just assuming it is in unfired condition, no wear, no scratches, original stocks, probably right around $1000. If it has its original box, papers, and cleaning tools, add another $100 or so.

Not sure where you're located, but if west of the Mississippi, I wouldn't start less than $1200 for a pristine, nickel 3" 13; $1500 with box and all the goodies. If it shows minor signs of use but not abuse, $800 to $1000.

If it includes the box, papers and cleaning kit and is truly unfired by the owner, I'd say in todays market $1,100 - $1,300.

If she wants to sell it we have a classified section where she can sell. I paid $835 for one 3 years ago. No box. Just gun. She should be able to sell it for $1000 without any accessories on our Forum.

There's one just like that on GB right now. It looks great with all the stuff that came with it. You might watch that to see where it goes, just to give you an idea.
