This one is a birth year gun. The serial number falls a little bit past the middle of 1965. I was born in January of 1965. The way I see's it, It probably layed around the factory about 7 months and that means it was built on my birthday.
Thats my story and I am sticking to it.

And just look at what some ******* did to these really nice grips.

Nice gun. Perhaps the previous owner was a target shooter and modified the stock(s) to fit his hand better for shooting. If so, than he is not a ******* just because he modified the gun to help him shoot better. Not all gun owners are collectors and many do not care about that aspect.

Yeah, I know. He couldn't have been too much of a ******* cause he had good taste in guns.
It just made me feel better calling him one. He did ruin a nice set of stocks.

I would like to think that guns could be collected too. I don't know too much about stamps.
I am not what you would call a gun collector, but I hope to be some day.
For now I will keep shooting the guns I collect. I just would like it if this one had grips that are still like they were when they left the factory.
