I purchased a Model 14-3 to use as the donor gun to build my Model 16-3 recreation. I got it at a bargain price in part because of wear and tear on the barrel (which were being replaced anyway) and in part because of its lack of target features. Anyway, although my other K frame experiences have involved non-Target hammers, they had the “fishhook” and I wasn’t bothered by the way they felt when I cocked them for single action, the -3 hammer seems to stick up at an angle non-conducive to SA shooting, an important aspect to enjoying a K32. Is there anything I should keep in mind when looking for the proper target hammer to add?
