I have a Model 14-3, 6" has some muzzle wear but very light turn line, seems hardly fired, it is SAO and box is labeled SAO. A member of local club posted a wanted add for one but not sure what they are selling for. Will try to attach photos.
thanks

Up-dated with photo of end label hard to read but has SAO in special feature space. Previous owner had it lettered and letter indicates no invoice found so not possible to verify SAO at factory.

Thanks for all you help.

Can you show us the end label? And please don't block out the serial number (okay to block the last two digits, if you must).

How much muzzle wear? And is the blue okay on the cylinder (pic looks like there might be damage there).

SAO

Any S&W revolver can be made SAO by removing the double action sear! A factory revolver that is SAO will have a hammer that is not cut for the double action sear! Also, when the SAO 14s were popular S&W sold a kit to convert your K frame to SAO. The kit consisted of a new hammer and new trigger on a blister pack.
