picked this one up a few days ago. man i think has more stamping on it that any other 2 k-frame units i have. full serial number in five places,n in three places for nickel finish ,r-n for factory nickel refinish ,2 78 for date of refinish,two five point stars each in a different place,two other single digit numbers i have no clue on..........but the price was right for me!!

congrats...i have a 15-2, just got it a week ago, and it has become my favorite...the 15 is fun to shoot, economical to reload for, and its easy accuracy endears you to the gun immediately...i love it.
 
l.carroll,you hit it right on the head . i have a 15-3 2" nickle that is a tack driver, with its TT and TH. A real pleasure to shoot!
