model 17-3 ammo question

hello. i just bought a used 17-3. the guy at the gun shop said i can put any .22cal round through it. he was busy so i didnt have time to ask specifics but does this mean i can fire .22wmr out of her with no problems? i just want a couple other opinions on this. thanks.

Absolutely not. Only .22 Short, Long or LR.

Other than wasting money on ammunition you can't use, it is a moot point. The .22 Magnum will not fit in the charge holes of your K-22. The Magnum case is both longer and slightly larger in diameter.

So, the answer already given is correct: absolutely not.

thats her right there. she looks a lot better in person. all the mechanics are great and she shoots very well.

Nice looking shooter. The access hole for the strain screw has me scratching my head. Some one must have thought that screw was for adjusting, which it's not.

One of the photos in the link shows the cylinder. It looks like the firing pin has hit the cylinder several times. Does that indicate the timing is off?

i thought that was a normal thing. i totally overlooked it when comparing it to others...

the timing seemed to be fine for the 50 rounds i put through it yesterday when i got it.

thanks for pointing it out, i'll keep my eye on it. i'll have the revolver expert at the gun shop look at it next time i take it to the range.
