I have a model 17-5 .22cal pistol Seriel # AZH2944 The gun has very light holster wear on barrel and cylinder, no ring around cylinder, and original wood grips. I would like to fin out manufacture date and rough value for insurance purposes and personal knowledge. Thanks in advance

My 17-4 was shipped in 1978 and my 17-6 was shipped in 1989, each had similar qualities to what you describe, bought each for almost $700.00 last year. Someone with "the Book" can give you the ship date.
