model 18-2 red ramp

did any of the S&W model 18-2 come from the factory with a red insert on the front sight?...something like this.....

The 4th ed. of the S&W Catalog makes no mention of a red insert being added at the factory in any variation of the Mod 18. It could have been a special order.

It might just be the photo but S&W factory red inserts do not extend over the top of the sight, making me think that could be after-market.
