Model 18-3 info request

New member here, recently my dad passed away and i found a model 18-3 while cleaning up the house and all i know about is that its a 3 screw, and I vaguely remember him saying he bought it used from a gun shop in the early 90s. Serial number is 1k94183. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm really interested in the year specifically. Thanks in advance.

Just a reminder not to dry fire your 18-3 as it can damage the cylinder face.

One of the best .22lr revolvers ever made. Great trigger, great accuracy, excellent craftsmanship. Some might say the K-frames are too heavy for shooting .22s, but the J-frames just can't match the accuracy or the trigger response. The 4" Model 18 carries easier than the 6" Model 17.
