Did S&W make these where the logo and barrel info was white?

One on Armslist and the guy said some of the white "paint" is missing.

Mb54 - the factory never did the white or gold letter fillings.
That is a custom, aftermarket "taste".
It is easy to remove

Removal would be made using what product?
Would the grips been diamond?
What value would you place on this, no box or papers?
Asking $600.00 but think he would take $550.00.

Masterbuck54 - I have removed the white with acetone, toothpick and soft brush in past.
I have also heard of Members using "Hoppes" too.
The grips would have been Diamond targets. Hard to guestimate value w/o pictures and knowing condition but asking price seems good if diamond grips and gun is 90% or better.

A member also emailed me and schooled me on the "gold filled" letters. He has a gun from 1959 that letters the feature.
