Stopped by my LGS today & they had Nickle 19-3 snubbie in the consignment case. No box, no papers, with Pachmayers. On close examination it appears to have been dropped as the front sight has a flat spot on the top. You can just see the "burr" in the picture. Priced at $550 which I said was too much. What, in you the forum experts' opinion, would be a reasonable offer? Just looking for one as a shooter & maybe CCW.

P&R nickel 19 snubby? If it's in spec and proper mechanical order, and the front sight ding doesn't affect aim, $550 ain't bad at all.

I'd still haggle on principle, but if it meets the stated criteria, the ask isn't unreasonable.

I paid $600 for a nickel 2.5 inch 19-4 a little over a year ago, no box, but original grips and in better condition than the one in your post. $550 is a bit steep, at least in my area.

Went back to LGS and the 19-3 nickel snubbie was still there. Ask to look at it, was able to look under the rubber grips-no rust, faint line from the magnas still shows, mechanically very tight with incredibly smooth double action pull. S/n is K953xxx placing it in 1970

Had the LGS call and offer $500, Owner came back with $525. So it came home with me and joins several other 19s & 66s. It becomes the 3rd nickel K frame and joins a Model 15-3 4" barrel, s/n K974xxx (1970) and a 19-4 4" barrel, s/n 73K9xxx (1980)

good pickup gfnugent! That snub will polish up pretty/bright.
Get some nice factory magnas and a tyler-T and you'll be ready for bar-b-que :)
