Model 19-3

Gentlemen.
I picked up a Model 19-3 in trade for a Ruger Redhawk, it was not in great shape but the bore looked great and the metal was not pitted too badly.
I was told it was from 1994, I have recently been told that there is no way it is that late.
It's pinned and recessed and after a trip back to S&W for some restoration, it shoots great.
But now I'm wondering just when it was made.
Can you help?

7K23056, Model 19-3 shipped in March, 1975 according to SWCA Shipping Date Sub-forum.

According to my copy of the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson 4th Edition the Model 19-3 was made from 1967 through 1977.

Welcome to the S&W Forums! Your Model 19-3 looks to be in very good condition unless the pictures are not showing the issues. The stocks are not original. I'd say you have a really good shooter grade Model 19-3. Take good care of it and be sure to look up the many posts on these forums regarding the Model 19. Tons of information, right at your fingertips.

Yes, this is after the high polish refinish and some interior work.

Trading a Ruger for a S&W is always a good deal. I have a M19-3, 7K121xx, about the same age as yours.
