I just acquired this model 19-3 and am wondering a little about it's history. It is a pinned and recessed 4" nickle finish revolver. Serial number is 9K903XX and it is in about 95% condition with some scratches in the finish but not through the finish. I am wondering what the date of birth is for this revolver and what its worth is roughly. Thanks for looking.

Hi, The SCSW shows serial numbers
9K10001-9K99999 to be made in 1976.

Now welcome to the forum, hope we can help you with everything you need, we only ask one thing in return....SHOW US PICTURES OF THE GUNS!!!!!
We all love pictures here. We dont care if the gun looks like it was used and abused or new in the box. WE JUST LIKE PICS.....

rich, maybe not in the same condition, but I recently bought a 19-3 ANIB, also 9K95XXX, with all the papers and tools and I gladly paid $500.
I would put yours at $350-400 range.

In my neighborhood, one like you describe would be priced at $500 in a gun shop.

One like Diamondback68 describes would probably be priced at least $100 higher.

Here is a few pics opf the 19-3. Thank you panamajack310 for the lesson!

Congrats! Beautiful model 19. Enjoy yours! Regards 18DAI.

Looks great! How does she shoot? Congrats, the 4" M19 is a great wheelgun.
It shoots pretty good for only having one range session so far. As the weather warms up here I will get out to shoot a lot more. Panamajack310, I hate the rubber grips myself. They do absolutley zero to enhance a gun. I will pick up a set of Hogue woodie's at the next gunshow .
