Just got this m19 and having no luck in using serial number for when it was made. Seems I need some catalog. Anyway serial number is 32k8946

My nickel 19-4 snubby, s/n 33K1035, dates to 1978. It's just a little later than yours, so yours should be the same. Great little revolvers! Enjoy!

Just bought a 19-4 pinned barrel recessed cylinder. I have seen 100's but only a few with an orange front sight. It has a 2.5" barrel round grips. Can anyone tell me if the orange sight is more or less desirable? Seems to be a bit scarcer than the plain Blade sight. Serial #91K3963 which I believe is 1980. Please comment! Thanks!
