I am just wondering about approx. value and DOB. I live in CA where if it isnt on the list you cant get it unless its on consignment or PPT. So i bought a S&W model 19-5 serial number BAA32XX. The condition is probably 90% with a very faint turn line and some pachmayrs on it. I got it for $375 + DROS and Tax (nothing i can do about that)which i thought was fair because i never see these things anywhere in CA for sale. So how'd i do?

UPDATE** here is a pic i snapped real quick.
Threw some $5 uncle mikes i got this weekend at a local fun show. Its got light wear around the muzzle but looks to be carried more than shot.

Thats what i was thinking. It will go well with my 6" 586 no dash.

Anyone know what the DOB for this particular weapon. Also to to any S&W members in So.Cal check out Annie's Get Your Gun in Corona. They are super friendly, have very fair prices and a good selection of guns for a small shop. I saw a nickel 2" python in there for $900. Not too bad for CA prices.

You did real good -- I just bought a 2.5" 19-4 (pinned and recessed, with box and papers) for $550, which is a fair price.

At less than $400, you'll love the 19-5! I also have a 6" model with 3 "T's" and I love it -- it's a great looker and a great shooter. They tend to be less loved than their P&R predecessors (and the price can reflect it). But they shoot just as well!!!

DOB appears to be early 1988.

I think you did real well for CA. As Neill said, anything under $400 is pretty good.
Post pics when you can.

Mike

Here's a nickel 19 to hold you over.

I have noticed that this gun has a target .500 wide trigger on it. Anyone know where i can find a matching hammer? Also i want to get some Ahrend grips but i talked to him and he said he's three weeks until he'd have anything for a K frame round butt. Anywhere else i can get them. Top gun supply is out as well( even though there site shows them in stock)

Hey those Uncle Mike's are exactly what you'd find on a Mod 66, they're not the after-market types, good score on all accounts!

Thanks, i got it with pachmayr grippers on it and although they fit my hand they were too big for the gun. I found the uncle mikes at the ontario gun show for $5. I also just got a new old stock DeSantis Silent Partner holser. It fits great and is very comfortable. I think i got total $475 for gun, grips and holster. Not too bad for CA. Now for some wood ones like these and i'll be set. http://www.gunsamerica.com/UserImages/22860/976911284/wm_452488.jpg Anyone know where i can find a set of "target" round butt grips?

That i am going to DO!! HAHA I just got 500 rds of 38 special and some reloading equipment. I will start reloading as soon as i have read the manual 2 more times.
