What make and wood are the grips on the stainless one? They look awesome.

Those are the original Factory supplied grips

I never bothered to try and look up the wood, but I believe that Altomonte was the OEM supplier to Smith & Wesson at the time

Awesome guns n’ grips! Those round butt Altamontes (?) (looks like one oftheir wood offerings) are very classy against the dark finish I think.3 I will look up a f-comp for sale but with prices crazy the way they are, no telling what they are up to nowadays; true collectors value or no. If no luck then I’ll choose one of the two current offerings (L or K).

So the few stainless f-comps I found (m-66) awa. the examples that sold the past couple years, went for average of 2K; save one where the gentleman needed quicker cash. So it’s a non-stainless current offering for me now. I carry a K frame, but like the extra round in the L; and realize the recoil is less with the L frame given the same porting. Never had a recoil prob, but the less the better for that quicker 2nd shot in a social situation. Decisions decisions. My life could suck a lot more right now lol!
