Good Morning,
I'm going to be carrying my 19 for a while soon and I'm looking for some grip suggestions. I'm on a budget (of course) and would prefer less than $50 but definitely less than $75. The stock grips are just too large for me to hide and are a little too big for my hands anyways. I don't want synthetic grips, I already have a Hogue. I'm thinking a set of service grips with rounded bottoms (PC Magna's I think they're called?) would be an easy/cheap solution and then maybe add a T-grip if I have to. Does anyone who carries a K frame have other suggestions?

IWB holster suggestions would also be appreciated - but something that I can get my hands on in the next week or two.
Thanks,
Matthew

I've tried a few different things, and I went back to PC Magnas and a T-grip for my SB Model 13-1.

You need to contact member VM. He restores grips and seems to have a pretty good supply from time to time. I bought a set of pc magnas from him last week. Very nice grips at a very reasonable price. Good man to deal with.

Or, you could just work a deal with me for that good looking Combat Magnum. I would put you in a Mod-10 or Mod-15 with a nice set of pc magnas.:)

Sorry redlevel, the 19 was a gift from my parents when I graduated college. If I ever sell it it'll be to buy food.

I just bid on some PC magnas so we'll see how that goes

Depends on your hand size. For me, PC Magnas and a Tyler would be about the best, especially if you are ruling out synthetics. Not sure why you are ruling them out, though.

I think it depends on what you intend to shoot with the gun. Small grips might work well if all you're intending to fire is .38s. But with magnum rounds, I dunno, something a little more comfy or at least a little more forgiving might be required. The best compromise may be a pair of square butt Uncle Mike's combats, if you can find 'em. They're compact and extremely comfortable, much smaller than the Hogues. Unfortunately, they're out of production so you'll have to look around to find a set. I have one set which I occasionally put on my square butt model 66 and they work extremely well with that gun.

How about a set of Fuzzy Farrants, or if you cannot find a set of those, then a boot grip (my assumption is you need a smaller grip for concealment). Eagle also makes its Secret Service grip for the 4 inch K frame square butt, and it is a nice grip as well.

Spegel Boot Grips! Or, if you can find the discontinued Uncle Mike's Boot Grips that are I believe the same but rubber and very inexpensive. The originals are much nicer however. I have both.

As shawn said above, nothing beats Fuzzy Farrant stocks but you have to be willing to cut the front of the frame. I think the next best stocks are checkered Spegal "boot" stocks and you do not have to alter the frame.

Thanks for the feedback guys, my PC Magnas came in yesterday and I love 'em.

I also picked up a Tucker Texas Heritage holster off ebay for $40, expecting it in tomorrow :-)
