Always wanted a four inch 19. My first issue gun when I became a deputy. Kinda wanted a 19-4, but this will do.

A very nice example, oddjob.

A couple points for your continuing education:
1. All Model 19 Combat Magnum revolvers without a dash number had four frame screws. The 19-2 (in 1961) was the first 3 screw.
2. The stocks on yours are appropriately made of Goncalo Alves but they are not contemporary with your revolver. They lack the smooth diamond at the screw location, hence they are later than December 28, 1967.

I know that my 19-4 is not going anywhere anytime soon.

My 66 no dash either for that matter.

Good looking 19. If you plan uses other than the practice range you should consider removing the internal trigger stop. If that bugger comes lose it will potentially prevent your trigger from releasing the hammer when you want. Do save the little metal plate and its screw.

The screw is the same as the screw that holds down the rear sight.

The seller told me the grips are not original. No box or papers either. But it does go with the 6 inch and 2.5 inch 19's I got (both owned by former deputies).

Very nice. I also have a 19 made at the tail end of 58 and shipped in July 59 to a sporting goods store in Philly. It was the only 19 in a 6-gun shipment all marked various police depts. I know my late friend bought it from a retired LEO in north St Louis County. How it got from Philly to STL is anybody's guess.

My 4 screw M19 # K358063, was shipped 2-1960, to Williams Gunsight Co. It remains minty, in its original numbered box with tools. I also have a 6" M19-3, and an elusive pre M19 Combat Magnum, also minty in its original box. Out of 60 S&W's, that is my favorite. Big Larry

Big Larry, curious as to when and where you picked up those minty guns with all the goodies. Hope you are well. Oldbird13

The M19-0 was purchased at the Big Reno Show several
years ago. The pre M19 was purchased on this Forum. Owner fired it 50 times and put it away. The M19-3 was a gift from a friend. It too is mint in it's original box.
A little slow this AM. I fell down getting out of bed. Have to be more careful. Thanks for asking. Big Larry
