Does anyone carry one of these for concealed carry use? I had a 340 that I sold (Dumb move) and I want to get another 340 for pocket carry. I also am thinking that I would like a model 19 Snubby for OWB carry. I think if I carried owb with an untucked t-shirt, it probably would be fine. I'd like to hear if others carry these models and how well they conceal for them.

Thanks guys!

Sometimes I carry a 2-1/2" 19. I carry it in a Bianchi #5 Black Widow, the cylinder's above the belt and it keeps the grip tight against my body with a good 1-3/4" leather belt. I do take off the rubber grips it wears for shooting and replace them with a set of RB targets, catches/drags on the t-shirt a lot less.

I carry a Mdl 19 with a 2.5 barrel OWB all winter.

I use a 5 Shot SAP holster with good comfort and concealment.

I can carry it in the summer too, but choose a 640-1 in Simply Rugged OWB holster for a little easier concealment.

Does a J-Frame in an OWB conceal that much better than the K Frame with 2.5" bbl? I would think they would be pretty close to the same.... sure the K is a bit thicker and a tiny bit longer.. but all in all.... pretty dang close.

I carried a Glock 23 for years... but I am tired of it and being a lefty, twice in the past year, when getting out of the car, the magazine release bumped on the door jamb and the magazine popped... not out, but it popped loose enough it sure would not have worked had there been a need. I am ready to try a K Frame instead for awhile...

Mine is carried in a Galco Concealable. Comfortable and easily concealed.

You're right something needs to change. I had that problem with my P3AT while pocket carrying on the left side. I ground down the mag release so that my fingertip has to squeeze down into the hole to pop it loose. I'm not sure if that will work on a Glock, but it's food for thought.

I carry a Model 66 K-frame 2½" from time to time, but I desperately need a decent holster for it.

have carried both in years past. used a safariland thumbreak holster when they still made real holsters out of leather. used a 1 1/2 in belt and it rode easy.

Another vote for the Galco hi-ride thumb break or Simply rugged from Alaska. M19 great carry ccw weapon OWB. Don,t trust the auto,s and don,t own any.

Here's a pic of LoboGunLeather's work for my Model 66...
