That is not progress; instead it is planned obsolesence. S&W does not want all those guns with forged parts around to cut into their sales of MIM/IL guns. S&W knows that we dont want those guns, because many of them dont work. The Ks are an embarrasment, because why would anyone buy a gun that might work, when he can buy a gun that he knows will work? If S&W can knock down the numbers of working Ks even by 10% over the next couple of years, they should be able to get people to buy IL/MIM guns. Wrong! At that point, we go to Ruger, which has no IL to date. I dont have a problem with MIM, but I do have a big problem with the IL, because it renders at least my guns fundementally unreliable.
